Trusted. Proven. Secure.

Fluid has completed numerous strategically important communication projects for the Australian and Victorian Governments. Having instilled trust and demonstrated a proven track record we’re often called upon to work on Government initiatives and campaigns.

Partnering government commitments

Fluid has worked with all levels of government for 17 years, and understands the importance of security and diplomacy when it comes to handling highly sensitive and legally privileged information. Our focus has been to partner with agencies to help them deliver a wide variety of projects from all levels of government including federal, state and local, as well as the many departments and authorities. Fluid specialises in a diverse range of outputs, from energy and water campaigns to encouraging people to leave the car at home and walk more. Our focus is on creating highly engaging campaign and communication ideas that inform and prompt action.

Meeting future energy needs

The Victoria’s Energy Statement is the Victorian Government’s plan to make sure Victoria has safe, reliable and affordable energy supply, which is needed to underpin the state’s economy and liveability. The challenge in this high level communication piece was presenting a range of scenarios that face the Victorian economy. Our solution was to simplify complex and many-layered topics into easy to understand, “bite-size” sections, using iconography and diagrams that aid navigation and inform the reader. Specialist industrial photographer Michael Evans was key to achieving dynamic location imagery, a mix of energy generation and transmission sources including coal, geothermal, gas and renewable energy, wind and solar. The Fluid team, along with Michael, spent a week travelling Victoria to photograph facilities featured to help communicate the key challenges and solutions identified in the statements.

Partnering innovative enterprises

Fluid has partnered with many regional businesses and has personally witnessed prosperity and optimism despite the shrinking manufacturer economy. The west of Melbourne has traditionally relied on large industrials such as Ford and Alcoa, however with the closure of these enterprises, new and innovative industries have emerged from the post-industrial boom. We have personally experienced this growth and have partnered with many entrepreneurs taking advantage of the proximity to Melbourne. The other factor that has changed the local business landscape is the relocation of large government enterprises such as TAC and Worksafe.

“The region west of Melbourne has transformed itself over the past 20 years. We should know, as this closely aligns with Fluid’s time in the region. Speaking personally, I made the sea change back in 1996, moving from living in the inner south in St Kilda to Barwon Heads – the town made infamous for sea changers in the ‘saccharin sweet’ but popular melodrama about a coastal town with a bridge to nowhere.” Clifton Daniell, Executive Creative Director – Fluid

Do something great

With a population of over 244,000 people, the City of Greater Geelong is Victoria’s largest regional city. Located 75km from Melbourne’s CBD, the municipality comprises urban, country and coastal areas. Geelong is possibly Melbourne’s best-kept secret, with its north facing bay, more cost-effective housing and close proximity to some of Victoria’s most iconic attractions like the picturesque Bellarine Peninsula, the Barwon River, You Yangs Regional Park, wetlands, beautiful parklands and wildlife sanctuaries. Geelong is also the gateway to the world renowned coastline of south-west Victoria via the Great Ocean Road.

Water: our most valuable resource

Fluid has had an interesting journey over the past 17 years. Our experience includes many beverage projects. Beer, wine, spirits, non-alcohol, juice, flavoured-milk – you name it. In parallel, we have partnered with many local water authorities, including Yarra Valley Water, Melbourne Water, Barwon Water, Water Watch and Corangamite Catchment Management Authority. You could say we are passionate about the environment, and we are Fluid by name, Fluid by nature.
